Then open the library button at top left and add a voice effect, like Fuzz or Compressed or something. Then play with the settings for that effect. So I have adjusted the volume for a quieter region of my audio track but i need more volume. So why not do just that? I thought I had done that…. I must have done it wrong..

Because I have tried to highlight individual regions within the wave and apply an echo effect, but it ends up automatically applying that effect to the whole track,not just the highlighted region…. They are long chapters. I dread thinking that the only way to make this happen is to highlight many pages of text and cut and drag and then paste. A simple insert edit where the program shifts A and B to accommodate C being dropped between them would solve my problem simply. So I assume you mean in GarageBand, right?

Just split the track at the right spots and remove the sections you don. Takes time. All Rights Reserved. You can use GarageBand as a simple audio file editor. Just drag and drop a sound file into GarageBand to edit it. You can adjust the volume, cut out parts of the sound and apply filters. You can then export as a standard sound file or a compressed file.
