Western themed kid games

Wild Guns Reloaded doesn't lose the heart of the original title and the addition of new characters helps make this quirky western shooter become even more entertaining. The pair of Gunman Clive games are a perfect example of this. An HD collection has helped bring the games over to modern audiences and keep these games alive.

This may be a controversial selection, but with so many of the standard western and cowboy games skewing towards the same genres, TimeSplitters 2 becomes a breath of fresh air. The sequel is a part of one of the most popular rail-shooter series, but TimeSplitters 2 gets especially crazy with the periods that it visits.

TimeSplitters 2 spends some time in the Wild West to great effect. It takes the surreal universe of the Oddworld games , but turns them into moody westerns with an original slant. Stranger is a grizzled bounty hunter who just wants to get enough money to complete his goal.

Before games like Red Dead Redemption came along and essentially perfected the western genre, there were games like Gun that were attempting the same thing, just a generation earlier. Gun excels with its extensive side missions and how it fleshes out this world.

The last kid gets to open the sock and have the surprise jump out at him. The rattlesnakes can be made earlier in the party as an arts and crafts project. Make teams 2 or more and set up a wild west obstacle course. They try shooting as many cans as they can in 30 seconds — 1 minute. The kids will love this! Then take the golden pebbles you created in the ice-breaker activities and bury them in the sand.

In this game, the kids try to pop long balloons that are blown up and dropped on the floor. Or to spice it up even more, you can tie rubber bands to the end of each balloon and have the kids put it around their ankles. For this classic child game, hang cored apples at the kids height you can do this from a piece of long wood, which can be held up securely with a ladder and the side of the house , then the kids have to bite the apple with their hands behind their back.

Use a soft toy snake with bells on the end or create your own out of felt snake and sew bells inside with the stuffing. Similar to pass the parcel except they pass the snake. When the music stops whoever is holding the snake is out. Purchase enough water guns for your guests.

Buy all of the same kind so that everyone has a fair chance. Prior to the party fill up the water guns with water. Draw a line with chalk or use rope to create a dividing line between the wall and where everyone will stand. Have everyone line up about six to seven feet in front of the cans, one person per can, and handout the water guns.

Everyone shoots at the cans. When someone knocks it over they get a point. Do a few rounds. The person with the most points wins a prize. Set up the following in their own areas horseshoes and posts, rope and tall log, filled water guns, empty cans and table.

For the rope and log, tie the rope into a lasso, guests will have to lasso the log. If you want to get really creative you can make a horse out of cardboard. The idea is that everyone has to go from task to task and complete it in the least amount of time.

You can divide everyone into teams and have each team complete each task. Have your guests start at the water gun targets when they knock over the can they go on to the next obstacle. At the rope and log, they have to lasso the log or horse. Then they end at the horseshoes, whomever gets the horseshoe over the post is finished.
